We exist because there is a housing crisis in our country – we are the country’s largest housing association, in fact, we provide homes to 350,000 people nationwide. Our mission is to provide good quality, affordable homes and neighbourhoods to people failed by the market. We’re all driven by this shared purpose at Clarion. We want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to build a better future. This includes you. Whatever your background; whatever your goals, we want you to be able to develop at Clarion and build a future here.
Our vision is simple – Building homes. Developing futures.
It’s a vision that we’re all working towards every day. Over 360,000 people across the country call a Clarion home their home and we have ambitions to build 50,000 more over 10 years, doing our bit to help solve the housing crisis.
We’re committed to investing in our communities and are investing £150million over the next 10 years on social investment programmes through Clarion Future, our charitable foundation.
Our values were chosen by colleagues and help us to have a good understanding of who we are and what we stand for.
Each value has associated behaviours that we expect people working at Clarion to model.
We hope that by living these values, we’re clear on what we need to focus on, and how we need to act in order to provide a good service to customers.
That’s why we’re all here after all.
Should you be interested in joining Clarion, you should familiarise yourself with the following – it’s the heart of who we are.
Our default position is to be transparent, collaborate and build strong inclusive relationships.
We remain financially strong, sustainable and have a strong social impact.
We will always show respect to each other, our customers and our communities.
We are all driven by a shared purpose. Achieving our goals matters to us as when we are successful, we provide opportunities to build a better future.
We have been here for over 100 years and will keep adapting and innovating so we can continue to make a difference for future generations.
We want Clarion to be a workplace where everyone feels valued, can be themselves and knows they can reach their full potential. We do this by supporting our colleagues through a number of staff networks:
- BAME network: supporting black, Asian and minority ethnic staff and allies
- Ability network: for colleagues who have, or have an interest in, disabilities or long-term health conditions
- LGBT+ network: supporting colleagues who are members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans + community and their allies.
- Gender network: focusing on gender-related issues to create positive change and celebrate gender diversity.
